The extractives sector is historically male dominated and has a reputation for violating the rights of women and girls and depriving them of their entitlement to land and other economic resources or opportunities.

Our Work

ACEMP supports the participation of women in the extractives sector and continuously builds their capacity to defend their land, defend their economic rights and meaningfully access benefits from resource exploitation

Our Target

By 2026, establish regional mineral model processing centres managed by women and build the capacity of women in mining to understand their rights and entitlements amidst extractive developments
