We believe that a well regulated Artisanal and Small Scale Mining (ASM) sector is an alternative source of livelihood for communities living in and around mineral rich areas.

Our Work

ACEMP works with other stakeholders to engage government to formalize, legalize and regulate ASM in Uganda to gradually increase household income in rural-mining areas and ultimately reduce poverty.

Our Target

By 2026, build the capacity of 5,000 ASMs organized from local to national level in responsible and environmentally friendly mining practices, mineral value addition, business management and marketing.
